Strawberries

We love strawberries, fresh from the garden or with cream. Unfortunately birds, slugs and other bugs like them too. We had to dig them all up and burn them last year because they got a disease.

So now we only have a few small young ones. But there are a few Strawberries to see.

Here is the new Strawberry bed at the end of March. The plants are very small.
By the middle of May some flowers had appeared.
In early June there were a few greeny-yellow Strawberries
They should be ripe by the middle of June.
